A few ground rules.

Effective September 21, 2026. These terms cover the current CollegeRooming pilot.

Who can join.

You must be at least 18. Provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and use the service respectfully. You are responsible for what you post and the arrangements you make with others.

What the service does.

CollegeRooming helps people discover roommates and housing, compare stated preferences, and communicate. We are not a party to leases or roommate agreements and do not collect rent or deposits. A compatibility score describes preference agreement, not the likelihood of a successful relationship.

Honest listings and respectful contact.

Only advertise housing you are authorized to offer. Disclose rent, fees, and availability accurately. Do not post scams, impersonation, harassment, discriminatory advertisements, unlawful content, or other people’s private information. Do not scrape member data or send bulk solicitations. Follow applicable housing and advertising laws.

Review and moderation.

We may review, restrict, or remove content and suspend accounts for misuse. Confirmation badges describe specific checks, not a guarantee of safety, current enrollment, property condition, or honesty. You should independently check any proposed arrangement.

Pilot availability and fees.

Profiles, matching, and basic messaging are free. Listing submissions are free during the initial pilot. Features may change as the community grows. Any future paid service will show its price and terms before purchase; joining does not authorize a charge.

Leaving, support, and appeals.

You can pause your profile or delete your account from settings. Contact hello@collegerooming.com for support or an appeal of a moderation decision. Your statutory rights are not limited by these terms.
